Art of The Hobbit Progress

HarperCollins have completed the exterior design of The Art of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien for their edition. The binding art (only a small part of it visible here) is an adaptation of Tolkien’s illustration The Elvenking’s Gate. The art for the main panel of the slipcase is based on his original painting for the Hobbit dust-jacket.
